Product Description The medium tank M4 Sherman was undoubtedly the most widely used and used armored vehicle during World War II. The M4 formed the backbone of American tank forces and was produced in numerous versions and variants. The first specimen to go into production on a large scale was the Sherman M4A1, characterized by its rounded hull and cast tower. The first Sherman were equipped with a 75mm cannon, which was later replaced by a high-speed cannon of 76mm. The Sherman M4A1 entered service in 1942 and equipped the armoured units of the US Army during the first months of the war. However, its true strength lay in its construction design.
