Product Description The Cromwell, was developed by the British Army during World War II to replace the outdated Crusader in the role of "cruiser tank". The Cromwell was characterised by its very high speed of over 60 km/h and its great manoeuvrability. The speed was often limited in order not to excessively strain the mechanics of the tank, especially its suspension, and was still associated with adequate armor and good armament. The main 75mm gun mounted in the tower was strong enough for battling similar armored vehicles and could use the same ammunitions as other Allied tanks such as the American Sherman.
