Low Temperature Stirling Engine Model, Steam Heat Electricity Power Generator, Education Model Science kit for Kids Students Stirling Engine Motor, Birthday, New Year Gift, Education Model DIY Kit
About this item
- 【Precision Stirling Engine Model Kit】A kit that blends fascination with education. This model engine kit turns a tiny temperature gap into motion: only about 15 °C difference between its two aluminum plates is enough. Place it on a cup of boiling water, hot tea or fresh coffee and the flywheel spins clockwise. Set it on a large ice cube, wait twenty seconds, give the flywheel a gentle flick and it whirls in the opposite direction. Engineering beauty made real—and a spark for lifelong curiosity about physics.
- 【How It Works】Enter the world of heat engines. The engine converts heat into mechanical work through repeated compression and expansion of air. This process lets you watch science happen in front of your eyes. Tip: lubricate the crankshaft and connecting-rod ends with pencil graphite only; oil or grease forms stubborn sludge that raises friction and is almost impossible to remove.
- 【Simple & Safe Operation】Put the low-temperature Stirling engine on a freshly brewed tea, coffee or boiling water—or on a large ice cube. Wait 20 seconds, nudge the flywheel and the engine runs smoothly and silently for more than thirty minutes. The power piston makes a sound softer than a ticking clock. Enjoy a front-row seat to physics in action and own a conversation-starting piece of desktop art.
- 【Reliable & Durable】High-grade stainless steel makes it rugged, rust-proof and long-lasting. The scientifically optimised frame guarantees stable, accurate motion. A special anodised finish keeps surfaces bright for years. A borosilicate glass cylinder and graphite power piston keep noise and friction to an absolute minimum; hollow brass supports and nylon base screws provide welcome thermal insulation.
- 【Outstanding Educational Tool】Perfect for classroom demonstrations, home experiments or an unforgettable gift. Students, teachers, parents and curious minds of every age gain hands-on fun and deeper insight into physical principles. Give this steam engine model building kit and let knowledge and wonder light up their day.
Product description
Low-Temp Stirling Engine Model Product Features: A Stirling engine is a heat engine that operates by cyclic compression and expansion of air or other gas (the working fluid) at different temperatures, such that there is a net conversion of heat energy to mechanical work. Teachers can make the explanation process much straightforward and students can better understand its principle. Run freely on the top of a cup of hot water (≤90 ℃), no need to fire an alcohol lamp—safer for children; hot side up gives clockwise rotation, ice side up gives counter-clockwise. Start temperature difference between the product bottom contact and ambient should be ≥25 ℃. Gently flip the wheel, then it can run itself. Exquisite frosted plunger can avoid steam leakage and reduce abrasion. If the friction between flywheel and support is high, apply a little dry graphite lube to crankshaft ends and flywheel axle; do not use oil, because it will lead to oil-dirt. Technical Specifications: Color: Silver and gold Materials: Stainless steel Temperature difference to start: ≥15 °C Continuous run time: ≈30 min (single heat/cool source) Flywheel direction: clockwise on heat, counter-clockwise on ice Noise level: <15 dB (quieter than a ticking clock) Speed: 180rpm (max.) Item Size: 12.2 * 10.2 * 10.2cm / 4.8 * 4 * 4in Item Weight: 250g / 8.8oz How to Run: Set the engine on hot water/tea/coffee OR a large ice cube. Wait 20 s. Gently flick the flywheel—engine starts instantly. Do NOT: Use oil/grease—graphite only. Touch hot metal—allow 2 min cooling. Immerse in water or drop—glass parts are fragile. Packaging Includes: 1x Low Temperature Stirling Engine Model 1x User Manual
