Product Description Item no. : 300078032 Item Name:1:350 Jap. Destroyer Kagero. This is a kit of the Japanese Navy Destroyer Kagero. The Kagero destroyer class leader ship included a total of 19. Filed in September 1937, the Kagero was completed in just over two years and put into operation in November 1939. While the Kagero is recognized as an effective destroyer design, she, like many of her colleagues, did mainly escort and shepherd work toward her target, as she did in the attacks on Pearl Harbor. Later in the war she saw action on the "Tokyo Express" runs when destroyers were commissioned to supply and reinforce Japanese garrisons in the Solomon Islands. It found its end in the US mines in 1943.
